Продукт низкого качества
Товар или услуга, эластичность спроса по доходу которых отрицательна, т.е. по мере увеличения дохода спрос на такой продукт падает (например, спрос молодых супружеских пар на небольшие квартиры). Когда цена на низкокачественный продукт снижается, что способствует росту доходов потребителя в реальном выражении, эффект дохода (см. Income effect) вызывает снижение спроса. С другой стороны, действие эффекта замещения (см. Substitution effect) от снижения цены приводит к росту спроса, поскольку продукт стал относительно дешевле. Основная масса продуктов относится к категории нормальных (см. Normal product), в отношении которых эффект дохода и эффект замещения действуют в одном направлении. См.
